Salient features of this Program…

· The Bamboo TLM, the Bamboo TLM Manuals, which describe the uses of Bamboo TLM and the Bamboo TLM VCDs, which explain the use of Bamboo TLM, were displayed for exhibition cum sale.

· Along with the Bamboo TLM, household utilities and decorative items made of Bamboo were exhibited from 10:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m. in the Annual Event.

· Members of Faculty of Education from Kakatiya University also participated in this event.

· This program was completely organized by Haritha students.

· Haritha students, in addition to submitting the reports on their productive activities, also exhibited the booklets, created by them and containing their thoughts and feelings, in a separate area in the event.

· They also entertained the audience with ‘Burra katha’, ‘Magic show’, ‘Avadhanam’, ‘Kolatam’, ‘Yog Chap’, and ‘Haritha Shabdha’ (band). All these gave the event a distinctly unique and pleasant flavor.

· The message that Bamboo can be used in the making of TLM as an alternative to harmful materials such as thermo coal, plastics, synthetic fiber, etc. was successfully conveyed to the participants.

· Some items made with coconut leaves and palm leaves are also exhibited by artisans, students and teachers.

· A photo exhibition of freedom fighters and eminent personalities of Andhra Pradesh was yet another high.

· This program was held in a completely family atmosphere along with lunch and further carried the spirit of vanamahothsvav, free from caste divisions.

· The entire programme was vibrant with lively and useful discussions on the urgent need for grass root changes in the current decadent educational system.
