“Gandhian philosophy of education can be a source for Holistic education.

Haritha present a new strategy for Nai Talim . Our strategy is to use productive activities as experiments or examples to teach some concepts in the existing main stream school curriculum and thereby transforming the school from a mere teaching(memorizing) shop to a hub for technology development , demonstration, dissemination and community development.

Teacher should not confine teaching to the inside of the four walls. A teacher should convert school in to a technology development centre that doubles as a community development centre. A teacher should able to run cottage industries, innovative processes/products within the above centre of the school and be able to use the productive activities as live experiments or examples of various concepts taught in the mainstream school curriculum.”

The practical feasibility of the above strategy is discussed.
