different parts of our country under the Stewardship of Nai Talim Samiti,
Wardha. And accordingly a series of workshops & consultations have been
organized at Sevagram, Wardha. As such, a 2- day Samaavesham on the 29th
and 30th of September 2012 is planned to be held at Haritha
Ecological Institute, Palvancha,Khammam District, discuss the revival of Nayee
Thaaleem in Andhra Pradesh that was one of the first as well as leading state
in materializing propagating this Gandhian Model of Nation-building education.
Senior most functionaries of all the Central Nai Talim
Samiti, Wardha and researchers on the theme are joining this exercise of
importance. Interacting with them and sharing our views on the subject and also
putting forward your suggestions & plan of action is considered quite
valuable by the organizers of the state.
The
principal idea is to impart the whole education of the body, mind and soul
through the handicraft that is taught to the children.
|
Nai Talim is a spiritual principle which states
that knowledge and work are not separate. Gandhi promoted
an educational curriculum with the same name based on this pedagogical
principle. It can be translated with the phrase 'Basic Education for all'. However,
the concept has several layers of meaning.
